About Us Visitors Guide Tour Operators Meeting/Events

President’s Day Weekend

3 days / 2 nights

DAY 1:

  • Play matters at the Discovery Museum in Acton, a hands-on museum for families that blends science, nature and play.  With open-ended, interactive STEAM experiences, this is sure to be a great start to your trip.  The MetroWest Visitor’s Bureau is fortunate enough to have 4 tickets available to one lucky family that signs up for our Newsletter, which is chock full of great things to do in MetroWest!
  • Then, check into the Warren Conference Center and Inn. Nestled in the Ashland woods and overlooking 100+ lakefront acres, this peaceful settling is a wonderful home away from home.  While there, take a hike through the woods or check out their disc golf course that’s open during the winter months.  Bring your ice skates and try out their new outside rink, then relax in the colorful Adirondack chairs by the fire pit and enjoy some Smores!
  • Try out the hotel’s new restaurant, Henry’s Place, for dinner. Indulge in a healthy grain bowl or Neapolitan pizza or unwind with one of their exquisite cocktails that are named after dogs that frequently walk the property.

DAY 2:

  • Secure some breakfast from The Donut Stand Café in Hopkinton. These decadent treats are made from ingredients from local farmers and suppliers and are delightful!
  • Try your hand at slot car racing at Modelville Hobby. With a storied history and in business for over 60 years, Modelville is the perfect family activity. Modelville has 5 different tracks to try and supplies everything you need to get started racing.
  • Then, pop over to Lookout Farm for some relaxation, some cider and BBQ! Enjoy some live music in the taproom bar from 6pm-9pm.

DAY 3:

  • Enjoy some indoor fun at the Natick Mall, the largest mall in New England. Here there is something for everyone with many shops as well as a wealth of activities. Try out Immersive Gamebox, a whole new dimension of interactive play, Dave & Buster’s for some classic arcade games, Puttshack for high tech mini golf and Level99 for brain busting challenges! Also be sure to check out the mall’s newest attraction, Bosse Pickleball, a premier pickledom experience.
  • Before heading back to home base, fuel up at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant next to the mall. The kids’ menu comes with ice cream for dessert and the adults can enjoy a flight of margaritas with their meal.
