In honor of the time-honored tradition of the running of the Boston Marathon on Patriot’s Day, visit the Winged Foot Art Exhibit on the Hopkinton Town Common. On display from April 5th – 27th, enjoy the unique fusion of art and sport of the 40 winged feet at the iconic start of the marathon in Hopkinton.
Check out the StART Line Experience, an immersive, self-guided, art and education tour of the marathon legend sculptures in Hopkinton, a marathon art exhibit at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, and more.
Then, go enjoy some Start Line Nachos or a juicy cheeseburger paired with an IPA from Start Line Brewing for dinner.
Check into the Courtyard by Boston Natick where you can enjoy pet friendly hotel rooms featuring Netflix capable 55-inch flat screen TVs, pillowtop mattresses and plush bedding.
Day 2:
After grabbing some food at the hotel, spend your day at the Patriot’s Day parade in Concord. The 250th anniversary of the historic battles of Concord and Lexington is April 19, 2025. They will be commemorating the semi-quincentennial, or 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, which began here in New England. Listen to fife and drum corps from all over the nation as they march down Main Street. Following the parade discover more history by taking a tour of the Old Manse, or by visiting the Concord Museum which offers free admission all day. Post parade, attend the Concord250 block party and enjoy the Patriots Light Drone Show at night.
Day 3:
Enjoy the fresh spring air and partake in some of MetroWest Boston’s incredible outdoor spaces. Reveal in the 1,500 acres of forest crisscrossed by hiking trails at Hopkinton State Park or the 575 acres of calm woodland reserve at Ashland Town Forest.
Snag a meal at the Ashland Ale House where they offer a variety of hearty fares! From Flatbreads to Cajun Chicken pasta, there is something from everyone here.
Keep the fresh air flowing with a fun round of mini golf at the stunning 18-hole course at Putts & More (opening on Saturday, April 19, 2025) or kick things up a notch with an adrenaline-fueled adventure at Boston Paintball in Ashland – for an epic paintball experience indoors or out.
Day 4:
Start your day with a Mac Benny or Breakfast Burrito at The Spoon, an adorable restaurant in Hopkinton.
Then head on over to the Start Line of the Boston Marathon to cheer on all the runners that are starting their 26.2 mile journey into Boston. Be sure to check out “The Starter”, a statue that stands on Hopkinton Common across from the start line honoring George V. Brown, a legendary starter of the Boston Marathon from 1905 to 1937.
