Did you know that Framingham has one of the largest Brazilian populations in the United States? This community has been crucial to the revival of Framingham, which was a former mill town. You can try some of the most authentic Brazilian food here by stopping at Framingham Station Brazilian Steakhouse. They serve genuine Rodizio, an all-you-can-eat style where waiters bring grilled meat to your table and carve them onto your plate. They will return until you signal that you’ve had enough. “Rodizio” is a Portuguese word for rotation or turn.
Venture out to Sudbury for a farm to table brunch at The Farmer’s Daughter. Indulge in a Chicken and Waffle Benedict or Brioche French Toast Square.
Check out a cooking class or event at Duck Soup. In December, they have a gingerbread house decorating class or a Pasta Class among others!
Stop by Goodnow Farms to try and buy their award-winning chocolate! Most recently, they had 11 winners at the International Chocolate Awards World Finals! Their Asochivite with Maple won GOLD in its category as did the Limited Release White Chocolate bar.
Head on over to The Wayside Inn to explore the historic buildings of the oldest inn in the United States, including the early 1800’s Old Barn, now a farm stand with displays of antique farming tools and other artifacts. Stay for a gourmet meal in their historic dining room.
Open late, head on over to Bourbon’s Kitchen & Cocktails for a nightcap. They have an extensive after dinner drink menu including the best you’ve ever had espresso martini.
