The Fourth of July is just around the corner and MetroWest is gearing up for a spectacular celebration! From historic parades and dazzling fireworks displays to family-friendly festivals and patriotic concerts, Metrowest offers a diverse array of events that promise to make your Independence Day memorable. So, grab your flags and picnic blankets, and let’s dive into the vibrant lineup of Fourth of July festivities happening in Metrowest this year!

Framingham:Franklin Pride 25

Following last year’s successful relaunch, “Stars & Stripes Over Framingham” is returning on June 28, from 5-10 p.m., at Farm Pond Park. Fireworks will be launched from a barge in the middle of Farm Pond. This free event will feature food trucks and vendors from over a dozen businesses, including Eastleigh Farm, Sabrosa Venezuela, and Chick-fil-A. Attendees can also enjoy live music, with Decades by Dezyne performing Motown hits and the 215th Army Band playing traditional Independence Day orchestral music.

Franklin:

The Franklin July 4th Coalition has an exciting lineup of events planned for the week of Independence Day. Festivities kick off with a carnival running from July 3-7. On Saturday, July 6, the town will host its fourth annual Blues Festival. The celebrations will wrap up with a fireworks display at 10 p.m. on July 6, taking place at Franklin High School, located at 218 Oak St.

Holliston:

Celebrating its 300th anniversary as a town, Holliston is marking Independence Day with this special event. The VFW, American Legion, and Knights of Columbus will host a Fourth of July Laser Show on July 4 from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Holliston High School, located at 370 Hollis St. Their 2018 laser show was a huge hit, and this year’s show promises to be just as spectacular. Don’t forget to bring chairs or blankets for a night to remember!

Milford:

The Friends of the Milford Fourth of July Parade are back this year with their annual celebration. The parade will take place on Thursday, July 4, starting at 10 a.m. on Main Street. The festivities continue on Friday, July 5, with a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. at Fino Field.

Sudbury:

The Sudbury Fourth of July Parade, a cherished tradition since 1939, is back this year with the theme “Red, White and You — A Tribute to Sudbury.” The parade has evolved over the decades from its humble beginnings with horses, buggies, and militia bands to a vibrant community event. Each year, the streets come alive with music from local bands, creative floats by community businesses, and the joyous spirit of friends and family celebrating America’s birthday. Experience the unique charm of Sudbury on this special day!

Westborough:

The annual 4th of July Block Party on Friday, June 28th, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Baystate Common Union Street, Westborough, Ma. This fun-filled evening features live music, hay rides, pony rides, a bounce house, face painting, a dunk tank, food trucks, and more family-friendly activities. While many activities are free, some require tickets priced at $2 each. Please note that ticket sales are cash only. Come enjoy a fantastic community event to kick off your Independence Day celebrations!
